We have started ground work with her and very light riding, we will keep updating on her progress.

An Owner Giveup: Meet Dixie, she is supposedly a 7 yr old broke racking mare. She has a calm personality but you can tell many things are new to her, like picking up her feet on a regular basis and bathing. She responds well to natural horsemanship, pressure and release methods. She is thin but should recover quickly. She will not be evaluated for riding until she gains weight and until her hooves recover from the very deep thrush.

If anyone is interested in adopting, fostering or sponsoring Dixie, please contact us. This may be a good opportunity to have a broke, younger horse.
